Abstract
Although entirely oriented to the value of engagement in maximising the effectiveness of service delivery, in this case immunisation, this does represent a relatively rare attempt to use RCTs to attempt to monitor engagement. It poses the question of whether similar techniques could be used to evaluate the outcomes of engagement with researtch given that these might be harder to predict or measure.
